Following the death of the scenarist for longest-running Iranian TV show ‘Kimia’, Sharifinia has offered a heartfelt emotional eulogy that reads, “Dear Mr. Behbahaninia! I passionately lived the life of Kimia that you wrote for two years. With your Kimia, I experienced war with all the pride, agitation, immaturity, maturity and love; a war that I only associated fear, sirens and broken glasses with.
Your Kimia, however, afflicted me with a deep understanding of courage and sorrow; the sorrow that was fed by the flames of an eight-year-long war; the courage that was rooted in the looks of fanatics; such a deep understanding that is in all my breaths and I love it with my tears and my sadness.
Today, my dear Kimia has lost its creator. What bitter news…”
A heart-attack claimed the script-writer’s life on the night of June 3.
Besides composing the story for ‘Kimia’, the late Behbahaninia wrote the scenario for another famous and popular Iranian TV show titled ‘Narges’.
